Gerard Lighting is proud to be a supporter of Asthma Australia SA’s Tackling Asthma initiative

Asthma Australia is the nations’ leading lung health charity that is striving to find a cure for asthma and in the meantime, striving to improve the quality of life for people with asthma by providing accessible, affordable and evidence-based services.

For over 50 years Asthma Australia has been the leader in asthma health care and research. They deliver high quality support to people with asthma and their carers. As one of the country’s largest and most respected respiratory organisations, with offices and staff in every State and Territory of Australia, Asthma Australia delivers evidence-based preventative health strategies to over 200,000 people every year. The organization offers support, training and resources to the primary health care sector and when treatment is required, they ensure patients and their carers have the skills, information and power to be actively engaged in the decision-making process. Asthma Australia funds vital basic science and population health research contributing to national and international understandings of asthma and how best to manage the disease.

Adelaide Crows captain Taylor ‘Tex’ Walker is an Ambassador for Asthma Foundation SA’s Tackling Asthma campaign which raises funds to support children who have been recently hospitalised, or who frequently attend hospital emergency departments due to poorly controlled asthma.

Funds in this campaign are raised by becoming an Adelaide Crows Children’s Foundation sponsor. $2 is pledged for every tackle laid by the Adelaide Crows throughout their 2017 home and away season.

Although it’s mid season, it is not too late for others to join the 2017 campaign to help raise money for this terrific cause.
